MONEY GREEN - Artist Biography

Johnny Green bka Money Green was born February 5, 1973 in Southern California . At the age of 15, he met Crazy Toons a DJ for Ice Cube and brother of WC (from the West Side Connection). That influence sparked his inspiration to begin a career in the music industry.
After completing high school Money Green attended Texas Southern University, a prestigious black college in Houston, Texas. Like the famous rapper/producer, Kanye West, Money Green made the decision to follow his passion and dropped out of college as a sophomore going full-fledge into the music industry. Upon his return to the West coast, he partnered with high school friend, DJ Silk (now signed to Dr. Dre’s AfterMath Records) and produced a slamming demo capturing the attention of major labels like WEA, Black Ground Records and others.
In the hope of securing a long and lucrative career Money Green made the decision to join forces with an independent record label, Street Institute Records releasing the albums S.I. Riders I & S.I. Riders II. Soon after the release of these albums and features on many more, Money Green decided to launch his own company, First Mind Entertainment (FME). A natural story-teller with the ability to convey his unique outlook on life pertaining to a variety of topics, Money Green decided the company’s focus would go beyond just music, allowing him to integrate his various talents and interests.
First Mind Entertainment’s first release was a film entitled Outside My Window Documentary. A YouTube sensation with close to 2 million views, Outside My Window Documentary is currently available for rent on YouTube.com & Amazon.com among other websites.
Money Green’s new single, Feel So Good will be available soon across the globe digitally through his company First Mind Entertainment and Doodlebugms/IODA.
